The Office of Student Affairs Research and Evaluation was established in 2002 and is responsible for the leadership and coordination of assessment efforts within the Division of Student Affairs. In 2011, the name was changed to the Office of Student Affairs Research, Evaluation, and Planning with division-wide planning activities included in the portfolio of responsibilities for this office. Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with units both within Student Affairs and in other Divisions/Departments
- Cataloging and disseminating assessment information being collected in the Student Affairs Division
- Writing reports (e.g., CIRP, NSSE) and making information available to various constituencies
- Responding to data requests from the Division
- Publishing quarterly newsletter, OSU PERSPECTIVE
- Coordinating the Student Affairs Assessment Council
- Coordinating division-wide planning activities
